Here's they present Bizet's classis opera in their own unique style. Reiniger's silhouette animation and detail is exquisite and remarkably provocative, for it's time. It's a visual delight. Bourne has taken apart the engine of the opera, and like a great mechanic, put it back to together to be something more. Set in small town America on a hot summer's evening.
